Life update

Baby h announcement

Hey y’all!

WOW it’s been a while (a year to be exact haha)! I thought it was time to share a life updates that has been a long time coming!

If you haven’t heard the hubs and I are expecting our first baby in May 2019!! We are BEYOND excited and feel so blessed to become parents. Some of you may not know that we have decided to keep the gender a mystery until baby is here. This has been something we have always thought about and are really excited for! So many people can’t believe we are doing that these days. I’ve actually had some people get really mad about it haha. We just know this is one of the very best surprises we could ever receive!

I thought I would share how a little about the beginning of my pregnancy! I’ll be sharing more later!

Right now I am 23 weeks (gosh thats crazy) and feel really good! We found out we were pregnant at around 6 weeks. I had no clue that I was pregnant until I started getting super dizzy and almost passed out while teaching one day. My friend at work and the school nurse both said I should probably take a test. That was TERRIFYING to me because we were definitely notttt planning for a baby right now. I had ONE test so I took it one morning before work. The hubs and I waited very impatiently for 3 minutes, and then were in SHOCK! We couldn’t believe we were going to be parents! That’s such a crazy feeling! I went to the doctor at around 7/8 weeks and we got to hear the heartbeat. SUCH AN AMAZING SOUND!!

I have been very lucky to not have much sickness! Other than being starving all the time I can’t complain! I was pretty dizzy at the beginning and exhausted like nobodies business! Honestly I’ve never been so tired. I would literally sit down and be asleep in 2 minutes. Luckily that has gotten MUCH better!

My plan is to do some smaller posts with updates coming up, but I wanted to share this life update first before I started sharing those! Hopefully I will be updating about every 3-4 weeks!

As of now I want to share my go-to apps that have helped me through this pregnancy so far!

The Bump– This app has been one of my most used for sure! It’s extremely user friendly and has the cutest weekly updates. I also like their food safety list and their articles seemed to be some of the best.

Ovia Pregnancy– This app has been so great as well! I used the Ovia fertility app before and really like it! There are a ton of ways to track information for you and baby as well as tons of resources! One thing I like about this app is that you can enter your doctor appointment info and it will give you an idea of what to expect when you go to your appointments. Finally, they share really good videos each week that help you to know what you should expect for that coming week. I really enjoy that!

As always thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy these little updates! More to come! 🙂

Valentine’s day

IMG_3191Hey y’all!!

Happy early Valentines! Today I wanted to share some super fun pj’s that I picked up at Old Navy and our plans for this year!

T-shirt | PJs

I found these while I was browsing at Old Navy one evening. That’s my therapy for the week. My poor husband cringes every time I step foot in there… I always come out with something haha. But, these pj’s are super cute and priced well!

This year we are keeping things VERY low key. Last year we went to a nice dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille, which was DELICIOUS but we actually had to dress up (bleh) ha. We decided this year that we are going to stay in and make homemade pizzas, watch a movie, and just relax. We are constantly goinggg and doing so having a night in to relax will be wonderful! I found a super yummy Weight Watchers pizza that we are going to make so I’ll share that recipe with y’all!

My 26th birthday!

Hey y’all!!

Hard to believe but I just celebrated my 26th birthday! Seem crazy that I’m even that “old”… I know, that’s not old. I can remember thinking when I was 16 that 10 years seemed like a lifetime. But, 10 years went by like lightning! Mike and I have been together 10 years this year, I have 4 years until I’m 30 (makes me a little freaked out) and this was always the age I thought I would feel like an adult. Lol. How silly was I. 😂

It was an interesting start to 26. We spent my birthday evening in the minute clinic because the flu attacked haha. Mike went from being okay to totally bleh over the course of the day. Luckily we caught it early and he only missed a few days of work. This flu is a bad one. We are usually lucky and avoid it… not this year! The next weekend we were able to go to dinner at a fun little spot in Frisco called Mexican Sugar. If you haven’t been I highly recommend it. It’s a different kind of Mexican food but its delicious and has a great atmosphere!

25 was a great year! We traveled to exciting places like New York, I was able to see SNL live with one of my besties, we vacationed in our favorite spot and spent time with the ones we love the most. I’m a little sad to see 25 go but I am excited and anxious for year 26.

This year is a year of unknowns for us! We are starting the home buying process which is VERY scary for me. I’m a bit of a control freak so the lack of control with this process is very scary. It’s going to be long so I’ll keep y’all updated when I can!

Thank you for following along this year with me and my little blog! It’s been really fun and I hope you will continue to follow!
